🔰 NAMMAxFit — Member Safety Guidelines

These guidelines are designed to protect every athlete training at NAMMAxFit. By attending classes, open-gym hours, workshops, events, or kids training sessions, you agree to abide by the following rules to ensure your safety and the safety of the community.

1️⃣ Follow Coaching Protocol

  • Attend the warm-up briefing and movement demonstration fully before beginning any workout.
  • Perform movements only as instructed. When in doubt, ask — never assume technique under load.
  • Coaches may modify your workout, movement, volume, or load for safety. This is not optional.
  • Do not override a coach’s instruction during any portion of training.

2️⃣ Own Your Body — Train Within Your Ability

  • Understand your current fitness level, physical limitations, and core capability.
  • Train maturely — competence before competitiveness.
  • Scale movements to protect your longevity, not your ego.
  • Stop immediately if you experience sharp pain, dizziness, nausea, chest discomfort, or blurred vision, and inform a coach.

3️⃣ Technique First → Intensity Next

  • The priority order is form → control → consistency → intensity.
  • If technique breaks down, reduce speed, reps, or load without waiting for a coach to intervene.
  • Max lifts and advanced gymnastics must occur only under direct supervision.

4️⃣ Health Responsibility

  • Regular medical checkups are recommended every 2 months to monitor training suitability.
  • Health insurance + accident cover is strongly advised for every member.
  • Carry your prescribed medications (e.g., inhalers, insulin, pain management aids).
  • If you have medical restrictions from a doctor, respect them.
If in doubt, seek a second medical opinion — don’t self-diagnose.
  • Disclose any injury, surgery, health condition, pain, or discomfort to the coach before training begins.

5️⃣ Safety on the Training Floor

  • Be aware of barbells, kettlebells, and rigs around you.
  • Keep your equipment in your lane; do not crowd other athletes.
  • Do not cross another athlete’s line of sight during heavy lifts.
  • Do not drop equipment unnecessarily — especially empty barbells and iron kettlebells.

6️⃣ Equipment Etiquette

  • Inspect equipment before use.
  • Return equipment to storage areas after workouts.
  • Clean sweat or chalk residue before leaving the training zone.

7️⃣ Hydration & Hygiene

  • Carry your own:
water bottle, towel, mat, bands, skipping rope, roller, and personal recovery aids.
  • Sharing personal equipment is discouraged for hygiene and safety reasons.
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards and use deodorant out of respect for other members.

8️⃣ Respect Personal Boundaries

  • Friendships in the community — including with coaches — are optional and personal.
No member is expected or obligated to socialize beyond training.
  • Coaches will not interfere with your privacy outside of training and you must respect theirs.

9️⃣ Kids & Youth Training (Special Guidelines)

Children and minors are welcome at NAMMAxFit under the following expectations:

  • Training is at the parent/guardian’s discretion and risk.
  • Provide coaches with relevant medical or developmental information regarding your child.
  • We strongly recommend an additional adult supervision by the parent/guardian alongside the coaching team.
  • Kids must follow coach instructions strictly for their own safety and others’.

🚨 10️⃣ Emergency Protocol

If any injury or emergency arises:

  • First aid kit is available inside the gym.
  • Emergency exit is through the building stairway.
  • Nearest hospitals:
Manipal Hospital — Millers Road, Vasanth Nagar
    Fortis Hospital — Cunningham Road
  • Inform Abinav (Head of NAMMAxFit) immediately — 9900001932
  • Apply R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) and CPR only with a certified professional.
  • Follow coach directions during an emergency — STOP / FREEZE / BARBELLS DOWN means immediate compliance.
